To expand datasets to undertake further analysis into the relationship between traffic and air quality in London. The analysis of vehicle traffic data will support clean air policy solutions including the London Ultra Low Emission Zone and Low Traffic Neighbourhoods.

The project will design and deliver targeted campaigns for each of three city regions (Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool) with the aim of improving air quality through establishing effective Clean Air Zones and growing a new population of campaigners to engage with local government and demand cleaner air.

To provide Conservative councillors and metro mayors with the arguments and policy ideas they need to champion clean air locally, ahead of the local elections in 2021.

To deliver stronger buy-in for tackling air pollution in the UK through engagement with the business community in developing and delivering against air quality targets ahead of the legal deadline for at least one new target being introduced to Parliament in October 2022.

To maximise the impact of the Breathe London communications, including drawing on specialist expertise to enhance their capacity across strategy development, editorial and PR.

To mobilise health sector voices in the Environment Bill debate to encourage the enshrinement of WHO limits on PM2.5 in UK law.

To support Impact on Urban Health's Health Impacts of Air Pollution Urban Testbed

To create a framework and award scheme that mobilises schools and parents to clean the air their children are exposed to, and to provide educational resources and community action on the issue.

An extension of Year 1 to ensure maximum replicability of project and translate data into action.
