Provide a unique platform to industry leaders under the India CEO Forum for Clean Air, to champion the cause of air pollution and integrate industry efforts on clean air.

Develop a definitive guide to support Indian businesses to systemically measure and report on their air pollutant emissions.

The project aims to identify where changes in policy have the potential to accelerate private sector action at the intersection of climate and health, specifically on issues of air pollution and associated health challenges. The grantee conducted research and interview to develop a report looking at policy levers of the building/construction phase in the life sciences sector.

To raise awareness about what EU funding exists for air quality investments/actions and how is this money being used in reality.

The Alliance for Clean Air brings together leading businesses to commit to measure and reduce air pollutant emissions, invest in innovation for clean air, and champion the social, economic and climate benefits of tackling air pollution. This grant also supports the Global Future Council for Clean Air at the World Economic Forum.

The SEI-Y team closely collaborates with the Alliance for Clean Air and partners. They provide technical support and strategic guidance on quantifying air pollutant emissions, integrating these emissions into ESG/Sustainability reports, developing scenarios and targets, and addressing challenges identified with member feedback. The grant will enable more members to complete these tasks and create resources independently.

Smart Freight Centre’s Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) developed a Black Carbon methodology to offer guidelines for the voluntary measurement and reporting of black carbon emissions (tank-to-wheel) in the logistics sector. In this project, SmartFreight will update their black carbon methodology and develop calculation guidelines for logistics chains, integrating these into the GLEC Framework.

This project is an extension of ShareAction's pilot project to introduce air quality to the investment sector. It will continue making progress on equipping investors with the knowledge, skills, tools and opportunities to engage companies on air pollution, while pushing clean air higher up companies' agendas in sustainability planning and ESG propositions, and helping organisations become more aware of its materiality.

This project has involved Ricardo creating a tool which allows UK businesses to estimate and report their air pollution emissions, alongside their GHG emissions. They are engaging UK businesses directly to use the tool.

The project aims to demonstrate the economic and social benefits of cleaner air and showcase the urgency for action. It will build on existing data to show the linkages between air pollution and key policy areas, map and analyse the existing policy framework, including the revision of the Ambient Air Quality Directive, and put forward policy recommendations for further action.
