Two-year pilot fellowship programme to support eight students in undertaking an MSc in Air Pollution Management and Control at University of Birmingham

A pilot scheme designed to support up to 50 grassroots organisations across the combined authorities in Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester, with grants of up to £5000. The implementation of the scheme will be followed by a period of analysis and evaluation to ensure learnings are gathered and analysed.

To develop an enthusiastic core of Councillors and MPs who will champion clean air policies to their colleagues.

To build an even larger network of air quality campaigners across the UK to put pressure on local authorities to deliver clean air to their constituents. This project will maintain and grow campaigning activities in Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham, as well as West Yorkshire and Glasgow.

To implement a last push to ensure WHO targets for PM2.5 are enshrined in law via the Environment Act.

Support the All Party Parliamentary Group on Air Pollution (APPG-AP) as it seeks to inform government policy, specifically the content of the Environment Bill, and connecting Parliamentarians to the experience of local government in designing and delivering solutions to air quality challenges.
