Alexandre has served as a Sustainable Finance Manager at leading Brazilian consultancies and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where he also obtained his master’s degree from the Economy Institute, with a focus on Governance and Sustainability.
During his tenure at UFRJ, he taught the Applied Environmental Economics course. His professional experience includes significant contributions to projects with prominent organisations such as the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Environment Programme, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Brazilian Development Bank, the Brazilian Innovation Agency, Brazil’s Ministry of Environment, the University of California, Davis, C40 Cities, ICLEI, and UKPACT. He has also been involved in studies and projects for some of Brazil’s largest private financial institutions.
